Joshua Redman (My One and Only Love)and with and you re welcome from moana cheese bridge area secret exit
The very thought of you makes My heart sing Like an April breeze On the wings of spring And you appear in all your splendor My one and only love. The shadows fall And spread their mystic charms In the hush of night While you're in my arms I feel your lips so warm and tender My one and only love. The touch of your hand is like heaven A heaven that I've never known The blush on your cheek Whenever I speak Tells me that you are my own. You fill my eager heart with Such desire Every kiss you give Sets my soul on fire I give myself in sweet surrender My one and only love. The blush on your cheek Whenever I speak Tells me that you are my own You fill my eager heart with Such desire Every kiss you give Sets my soul on fire I give myself in sweet surrender My one and only love. More than half an exciting century later the legendary French pianist and composer, who excelled with works for soundtracks, orchestras, big bands and his own groups, as well as in the meantime duo settings with jazz masters from Lee Konitz to Dave Liebman, once again proved why the Duke loved him madly. Then I bought in a grand piano Kawai, and asked the piano maker to adjust it with a heavy touch response, to be perfectly at ease on all kind of pianos I am invited to play. I always have the music in my head, but it only comes out on the right instrument.
Published in , it is a conventional bar song with four 8-bar sections, including a bridge "Type A" or "AABA" song structure. Typically performed as a ballad, it has an aria-like melody that is a challenge to many vocalists; in the key of C, the song's melody extends from G below middle C to the second D above middle C. Wood and lyrics by Jack Lawrence. Vocalist Vic Damone recorded this version in , but it was unsuccessful. Then popular saxophonist Charlie Ventura saw the song's "jazz potential" and recorded the first instrumental version in the very same year. As an instrumental jazz standard, it remained predominantly a song for tenor saxophonists. Ben Webster recorded the tune with Art Tatum in autumn
The A section is very busy melodically with lots going on and very few sustained notes or rests. The slash chords in the A section look quite intimidating but in fact they are quite straight forward once you understand what is being implied. Slash chords are used to imply that a specific bass note must be played. Moving onto the B section, the tune is a lot calmer with much more space which offers a nice contrast to the melodically busy A section. The Kenny Barron voicing is an minor 11th chord voicing built from 5th intervals. The voicing is names after acclaimed jazz pianist Kenny Barron. The descending bass line movement in the A section makes this a great tune to practice slash notation.
