Well, I was wrong, because at the beginning of Season 7, I found myself within a three year feud between Ron and Leslie, the two Parks & Rec.

and   does   can   and

We didn't know then what the issue between the two was, just that it was called Morning Star, but on Tuesday's episode we finally learned what happened between the two. And if you ask me, the beef was well-deserved. So what was the Morning Star incident? Well, we learned during a Ron and Leslie lock-in what really happened, and it involves Leslie's most important baby of the entire series: The Pawnee Commons. Turns out, in November — when Ron quit the Parks Department and started his own business — he didn't even tell Leslie that he was planning on doing it.

It's hard not to love Indiana's most dedicated public servant on Parks and Recreation , Leslie Knope. She gives her heart and soul to Pawnee even when the city's terrible citizens treat her horribly for her efforts, and she always bounces back with bigger ideas and brighter energy. Even so, we can't deny that Leslie has had many less-than-perfect moments. It would be a boring show if she didn't! Occasionally, Leslie has even been a bit of a menace. When Leslie is furious about how disreputable the chard booth at the farmer's market has become, she attempts to use her power as the city manager's wife to shut them down.

How could one of the best non-romantic dynamic duos on television suddenly turn on each other? Though Leslie joyfully agreed to meet him, she stood Ron up because of work.

As Parks And Recreation begins its abbreviated final season, the last big question before it is what, if anything, its ending could look like. This show may have long since lost the fastball that made it an ace and transitioned into the crafty lefty phase of its career—for those unfamiliar with casual baseball analogies, the good people at the law firm of Fwar, Dips, Winshares Gritt, Babip, Pecota, and Eckstein will be happy to explain, billable by the hour—but this remains a fundamentally solid show, regardless of which half of the s it now takes place in. For a character-driven show, such a rift between its two most important characters really ought to provide a driving force for the season. In fairness, it might be unrealistic to expect genuine uncertainty on that point, as even comedies far more mean-spirited than this would almost certainly have their main characters reconcile before the final bow. Or perhaps, even when the time jump gives the show a chance to shake things up, Parks And Recreation is hesitant to veer from the formula that got it to seven seasons in the first place. For the other characters, the time jump has been more directly helpful.

Since , Parks and Recreation has taught us that there are many different first names you can call a very clumsy co-worker, even more ways to tell your best friend she is beautiful, and that sometimes you should take a day off and treat yourself. Read on to find out more about the show set in a town whose residents still use AltaVista. Along with Office writer Michael Schur, the two considered some concepts, including one where a broken copy machine from Scranton would break down in an episode of The Office and then end up in Pawnee , making the office equipment the spun-off character. Public Service was seriously considered as the name of the show, which got its start as The Untitled Amy Poehler Sitcom. A little over two months before its series premiere, NBC announced in a Super Bowl commercial that they went with the title Parks and Recreation.

Leslie Knope and Ron Swanson are alone together in their old stomping ground, the headquarters of the Department of Parks and Recreation. Parks and Recreation didn't come out of the gate as one of the best sitcoms of the last decade, but, over the course of seven seasons and episodes, the citizens of Pawnee, Indiana, amassed a loyal fanbase in some pretty unexpected ways. In a world packed with cynicism about government and the people that run it, the NBC comedy endures not only for being funny, but for providing hope that, with the right public servants in place especially at the local level , America can be a truly nice place to live, quirky high jinx and all. For a series as uneven yet frequently brilliant as Parks and Rec , singling out the top 25 episodes can be a challenging feat. However, if there's one thing that Leslie and the gang proved, it's that anything can be done if you just find your team and get to work. Season 1, Episode 4 A running theme throughout Parks and Recreation is the uphill battle women face trying to make it in a government largely run by men. When Leslie and Ann try to crash the guys' regular party, she opens up a gift basket filled with wine to keep the party going. What ensues is an ethical dilemma in which the audience learns just how much Leslie cares about her job.

Leslie & Ron

Well, you can momentarily forget about that. The NBC comedy returned to kick off its final season on Tuesday night with two back-to-back episodes. Making matters much, much worse for Leslie? Her rival — gasp! Sometime in the last three years, Ron left the Parks department, carving out heh his own path with the Very Good Building and Development Company. Together, he and the Gryzzl nerds have a lot of money to offer the Newports, and they stand a ridiculously high chance of getting the land over Leslie. Swanson promised Tom enough space to put up another restaurant.
