Earlier this year, Israel Houghton offered his gospel cover. The way that he pursues, chases us down, loves, I believe, is reckless. We were going after that really furious, violent language to speak of the nature of the love of God. I am, however, saying that the way he loves, is in many regards, quite so. However…the whole Bible shows us that God is not unconcerned with himself but is ultimately for himself. Reckless could be taken two ways here. It throws a feast for the returning son who ran away with the inheritance and blew it.
Maybe it depends on the day, the trip, or the destination. Yet I suspect that most of us gravitate towards one end of the spectrum or the other. What about God? The Bible is full of verses that point to the plans and purposes of God Jeremiah , Ephesians God is orchestrating a dream and vision for the Universe. To be reckless is to act without caring about the consequences. My sister recently told me about a song that is sweeping through churches and speaking to the hearts and souls of many people.

On January 5, , the radio version of "Reckless Love" by Asbury was also released by Bethel Music in digital format,  and set to impact Christian radio on February 16, Cory Asbury told the story behind the song whilst leading it in worship at the Heaven Come Conference , an event held by Bethel Music,   citing the Parable of the Lost Sheep in Luke 15 as a scriptural reference point saying:. When I used the phrase, 'the reckless love of God,' when we say it, we're not saying that God Himself is reckless, He's not crazy. We are, however, saying that the way He loves, is in many regards, quite so.
