Dudley doesn't have a railway station, and ridiculously for a town of its size there's no direct bus from either Dudley Port or Sandwell and Dudley to Dudley town centre. Get a train to Dudley Port, then a 74 to Burnt Tree island, from where it's a short walk to the town centre. Get a train to Sandwell and Dudley, then walk 10 mins to Oldbury , and get the 87 to the town centre. Thanks for this very useful information. Dudley Port is much closer at around 2 miles.
