The Moen faucet is part of the company's Chateau collection, featuring two handles with one-quarter-turn cartridge valves. The faucet is the same model, except that it comes with a side spray attachment. You need four holes in the sink deck to accommodate the faucet. The diverter for the spray attachment -- which is under the base plate at the base of the spout -- extends through the central hole, while the sprayer rests in the one farthest from there. The sprayer hose is connected to the diverter with a hydrolock connector and is easy to remove.
Moen is a manufacturer of several different types of pull-out style kitchen sink faucets. All kitchen sink faucets require some troubleshooting over time, and pull-out style faucets by Moen are no exception. Common problems with Moen kitchen faucets include a handle that won't stay in the "on" position, water leaks or a handle that is difficult to move. All of these problems can be corrected once you know what to look for. If your new Moen faucet won't stay on, or you have recently replaced the cartridge and the faucet won't stay in the "On" position, this is likely caused by too much silicone on the faucet's cartridge. Moen greases their cartridges with a special silicone prior to shipping. Occasionally, too much silicone can grease the cartridge, causing the weight of the handle to pull it down.

The installation is similar to that of other Moen kitchen faucet models with a single handle. Remove the old faucet by loosening the mounting nut or nuts on the underside of the sink. It helps to have a basin wrench to work in this tight space, but otherwise, you can use tongue-and-groove pliers. Once the nut is loosened, unthread it all the way by hand, then pull the faucet up and away from the top of the sink. Clean the top of the sink to remove any stains left at the base of the faucet. Chances are the footprint of the new faucet will be different and the more you clean the top of the sink the better it will look. Install the deck gasket onto the new faucet by fitting it over the flexible supply lines and sliding it up into the faucet body.
Log in or Sign up. Moen kitchen faucet, Having trouble removing it. I have a Moen faucet that needs replacing. But, geez, I didn't realize removing the old faucet would be such a chore. There's a nut underneath the bracket sorry, don't know the official terminology - but it's the black and gold piece in the photos. My husband and I thought loosening that nut would allow us to remove the faucet. We were able to loosen the nut without much trouble and the faucet did, in fact, also loosen.
